Being one never to miss out on an event Pokemon most of the time, I got the Liberty Pass while I was at EB Games yesterday. You need it to get to Liberty Garden to catch Victini. When I finally got to battling Victini... let's just say that it can give the Lake Trio a run for its money in terms of sheer peskiness.
Round 1: Tranquill was out first. I had it chip away at Victini's HP until it (Tranquill) got KO-d. Then I sent out Liepard who, thankfully, was immune to Victini's Confusion. I managed to catch the little thing after throwing about a dozen or so Pokeballs. I headed north to Nimbasa City, but I had forgotten that I had a battle waiting for me in the Castelia City/Route 4 gatehouse. I'd obviously forgotten to save after catching Victini because when I restarted the game, I found myself to back to being just about to go and battle/catch Victini.
Round 2: Sent out Liepard first this time. I got Victini's HP as low as I could without KO-ing it before I started with the Pokeballs. I got through about 20-ish before I restarted.
Round 3: Liepard was still in the lead. Again lowered Victini's HP as much as possible. This time I got through about 30-ish Pokeballs before restarting.
Round 4: Liepard leading again. Lowered Victini's HP as much as possible. This time I caught Victini with the 6th Pokeball that I threw. And I also remembered to save as soon as the battle was over.
